My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Velvet, a resilient, spirited doggo who has overcome incredible odds. Velvet was found as a stray and taken to the local shelter, and came to Footbridge partially paralyzed.

But guess what? She doesn't let that slow her down!

Her journey from paralysis to walking has been nothing short of a miracle. Velvet has turned her setbacks into stepping stones. She's become a testament to resilience and enjoys life to the fullest, whether it's playing with her friends, chasing the ball or cuddling with her hooman!

Velvet has come from no use of her legs to taking walks around the neighborhood. She is potty trained but since she is still ongoing therapy, sometimes she can't make it outside in time.

She is good with other dogs, humans and children. She would do best in a home without cats because she wants to play with everyone...including the cats. Life is a beautiful walk, and Velvet is strutting through it with style. Ready to join her?

This pet is part of our program called "The Lonely Hearts Club." We created this program to highlight animals that are sponsored by a donor. By removing the adoption fee, we hope these wonderful pets will have a better chance of finding their forever homes.
