Meet sweet Toshi!

Toshi (about 3 years old) recently came into rescue and has everyone smitten by his loving and affectionate nature.

Toshi is a two colored (black/white) neutered American Akita who is longing for a loving home of his own. Toshi is quite the kisser and hugger. Because of his size we do not recommend placement in a home with children under 12 years of age.

While he has not shown an over aggressive tendencies with other dogs, we would love to place him in a home without any other pets.

Not much is known about Toshi’s past except he was kept mostly in the backyard. This bear has a lot of love to give. And we think it’s time for Toshi to make up for lost time and start living life as a pampered pooch in a loving home. So come on and meet Handsome today!

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption agreement and ask that you keep us informed of the dog's whereabouts if you move or relocate and also that you maintain updated contact information with our organization.

We ask for a tax deductible donation of between $250 - $500 to help us pay vet bills, rescue fees, boarding & transporting expenses.

More about this rescue

We specialize in rescuing Akitas , both purebred and mixes and from time to time other large breed dogs from high kill shelters, provide medical assistance if needed, assess them and find homes. We are truly the last resort for many dog that would otherwise be put to sleep. This is a act of kindness for those in most need & out of love for the dogs.

We are an all volunteer organization that survives on donations.
