My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bacon, a sweet and spirited brown tabby who’s as full of life as his name suggests! Bacon came into our rescue five years ago, saved from a kill shelter where he was dumped after suffering a fractured hind right leg. Though it healed before he was brought to safety, that leg still gives him a slight handicap, but it absolutely does not slow him down. Bacon loves running, jumping, and playing, and his zest for life is contagious!

This charming guy is all about his humans. Bacon absolutely adores his people and prefers a home where the adults either work from home or are retired. He bonds deeply with his family and, once he’s fully acclimated to his new environment (which may take him a few weeks), he will not want to be far from you. He’s a big fan of rubbing up against you for attention and loves being pet—especially around his nose, ears, and bottom. While he may not be a fan of belly rubs or chin scratches, his love for affection is unwavering, and he’ll happily return your love with his sweet purrs and gentle companionship.

Bacon can be a little picky when it comes to food—he loves high-protein wet food with gravy or sauce and prefers his Earthborn dry food. After being diagnosed with pancreatitis in December 2023 (a result of stress), he’s had no further issues since, but his foster momma is careful with his food choices to keep him happy and healthy.

As far as other pets go, Bacon would do well with a small dog (though he’s not likely to be cuddling up with one anytime soon). If there are other cats in the house, he’d prefer just one laid-back, easygoing feline companion. Bacon is not a fan of a busy household, so a calm, quiet environment with a steady routine is ideal for him.

Bacon may take a little time to adjust to a new home, but once he’s comfortable, he’s the kind of cat who will stay close by, offering you his companionship, affection, and a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and spirited cat who enjoys the simple pleasures in life—like a cozy spot next to you and lots of ear rubs—Bacon is your guy.

We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adotpion have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration.
