Pocket Pets have joined the dogs and cats getting their second chance at Second Chance Animal Rescue! If larger free-roam animals aren't your thing or your living situation doesn't allow dogs or cats, we now have some special little buddies on our adoption floor who are waiting to win you over. What qualifies as a Pocket Pet, you ask? It's any small companion animal that can live in a cage or terrarium: guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, rats, mice, birds, and reptiles! These little ones can't stay in their cage ALL the time though; while it depends on the species, most pocket pets will thrive with extra room to run around, daily time out of their cage, and plenty of handling/socialization once they're warmed up to you!
