Meet Hazel our two-and-a-half-year-old medium mixed breed.

Hazel is such a sweetheart! She loves people and has never met a stranger. She will automatically be your best friend. Hazel lives with other dogs but can be grumpy at times. A mellow dog who just needs another companion dog would be perfect. Hazel would also do well on her own and would love a stay-at-home parent.

Hazel's perfect day is laying outside watching the world go by, coming inside for a snooze on her bed and repeat all day long. Hazel has a great appetite and is easily won over with treats.

Hazel has been treated for heartworms and has been giving a clean bill of health by our Vet.

Hazel was a mom dog and had 7 pups who she cared for wonderfully, this is now her chance to live her best life.

Our foster dogs/pups are all in foster homes and can be met by appointment. We also will have regular adoption events at PetSmart and Pet Supply Plus stores.

Active Paws rescue will help pets in need through sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, and community outreach.

Active Paws Rescue would love to see that every animal knows love and kindness. No animal should have to endure needless neglect and suffering. We will provide a voice to those that need it most.
