Hi there, I'm Plata, a vibrant 44lb, one-year-old guy with a tale that starts at the doorstep of Animal Care and Control on my very first birthday. Some might find it a bit sad, but I see it as a gift – a chance at a better life, and boy has that proven to be true.

Bursting with puppy energy, I'm all about playtime and gobbling up my meals with gusto. My foster dads are thrilled with me; I've got the whole potty training thing down, and I snooze peacefully in my crate at night. Play is my favorite time, and even though my dads advise a touch of calmness, I can't help but leap around – after all, I'm just a puppy and have lots of maturing to do!

To say I have a love affair with toys is an understatement. I can't get enough of them, and if one's not in sight, well, a baseboard becomes an unexpectedly tasty alternative. My foster sister is a bit on the shy side. While I'm busy perfecting my downward dog pose to engage her, she tends to give me the stink eye and saunter away. No worries; I'm convinced she'll come around. My dads say I'm an ideal addition for a family craving the exuberance of puppy energy, and willing to work with me on refining my manners. In the meantime, I'm soaking up every moment of the love and joy in my current home!
