Mokey is super sweet and laid back - her goal in life is to chill. While she doesn't "move like Jagger," she definitely has "a tongue like Jagger" that partially hangs out of the side of her mouth at times. You can easily see her tongue in it's full glory when she eats or yawns. She has a healthy appetite and eats twice a day, although because of her tongue and not having many teeth, she can be a a very messy eater. She also LOVES treats as long as they are soft and crumbled! She did have an eye removed after a bout of glaucoma, but she is feeling much better with it gone as it can be very painful when there is increased pressure in the eye!
She loves a nice cuddly bed! She picks one out each day to enjoy! Mokey is blind and deaf at age 14 years old but she has NO fear in exploring her surroundings. She IS NOT a fan of the cold! Mokey is potty trained and knows how to use the dog door to get back in the house after she goes potty! She can even find the couch on her own so being blind is nothing to her. She is pretty independent but does enjoy getting pets and being near her person. She even knows when her foster Mom is going to bed and finds her way to the doggy bed in that room. She likes laying in the grass and catching some rays when it is not too hot. She gets along with other dogs/cats but seems more interested in sleeping than socializing.
Mokey is a precious little senior angel on the inside and it would mean the world to her foster Mama to find an adopter that can spend the time with her and give her the love she so deserves for the time she has left. More importantly, it would mean the world to Mokey. 💜.To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
