Hi, I'm Max!

I'm 18 months old and I weigh 4.8lb! Although my foster parents don't know for sure, we think I'm a long haired Chihuahua. I mean... look at my ears! The primary thing you need to know about me is that I am a LOVER. I am extremely affectionate and I want a lot of attention. I'm incredibly sweet and will give it all back to you! Because I'm not used to having dog siblings prior to coming to my foster home, my foster parents have seen that I can get territorial, I startle easily when I'm waking up, and I can get snippy when I do. It's not often but if I'm not expecting it, I will get overwhelmed really fast. My foster parents believe it's because I'm so teeny I'm just trying to protect myself, which is why I would be best suited as the only pet in my furever home. I will need a home without any other dogs, cats, or children. I will need someone who is willing to be patient, and work with me so that I feel safe. I am pretty well potty trained but let's face it, no one is perfect. A fenced yard is a requirement for me because I do not like harnesses or walks. I'm just a tiny guy and everything is so much bigger than me so you can understand why I'd be nervous, right?! Anyway, I am fine in a crate but will cry. I sleep in my own room right now but would likely sleep anywhere, including on your face which my foster parents have photographic proof of if you require it.
