My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nimbus
Handsome? Check. Gorgeous? Absolutely. Meet Nimbus, a stunning Russian Blue mix with the softest fur you'll ever touch. This charming gentleman is not just a pretty face—he’s also got a heart of gold. Sweet-natured and affectionate, Nimbus is the kind of cat who will melt into your arms and remind you what love feels like.

Sadly, Nimbus lost his home when his owner fell on hard times, and he found himself back at Orphans. But he's holding onto hope for a fresh start and a forever family to call his own.

Nimbus is FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you—cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives. If you have questions, our counselors will be happy to tell you more.

Ready to fall for this beautiful boy? Nimbus is waiting.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
