My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello,
I’m Chief. I’m a retired farm dog. I’m a Catahoula Leppard dog. I’m sweet as pie and love attention. I’m getting old but still like to wander around on farms. I sleep most of the time but still like to play and love to be petted. I actually like to sit right next you. I even paw you to let you know I’m ready for pets!
Sometimes I make a weird sound when I’m excited but I can’t help it, but don’t worry, once I get to know you, I don’t do it as often. The Dr. says it’s A-ok!
Ps. I do sometimes get impulsive and eat things if they get left out but hey, what dog wouldn’t !??
I want a forever home. Won’t you be mine?

From my foster mom:
Chief can escape out of almost anything. When place in a crate, it has to be zip tied and he will tear up the floor or chew anything he can get to. He is potty trained and can be left out though. He can jump fences and also does not mind being shocked by underground fence. He likes to wander the woods and hunt. He previously was a farm dog. He is retired but I think he still likes that lifestyle and would fit good in a home with that kind of yard.

Chief is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home.
