Meet REX - a delightful little companion
REX is a little ball of adorableness who enjoys being outside. While he's not quite comfortable with walking on a leash yet, he does his business perfectly outside. Although he may seem unsure about what to do with the leash, the fact that he pees and poops outside suggests progress in leash training. Patience and positive reinforcement will likely help him become more comfortable. Rex communicates his need to go outside when he appears anxious indoors. This is a positive behavior, showing that he is aware of his needs and is finding a way to express them. Not barking in the three weeks you've had him indicates a calm and quiet disposition.
Rex's ability to grab a toy and play by himself demonstrates independence and self-amusement. While he might not completely understand the other dog's attempts to play, it's a positive sign that he has engaged in some form of interaction. Rex shows curiosity about human food and is eager for a bite, but he responds to commands like "sit." This indicates some prior training and a willingness to follow commands. Rex's ability to sit when told shows that he has received some basic training, and he is responsive to commands. Despite not knowing much about his past, Rex is adapting to his new environment, and showing signs of learning and progress. Continuing to provide positive reinforcement, love, and patience will likely help him become more comfortable and confident in his new home. He's already making strides in adapting to a routine and learning commands.
**No children under 10!**
