YOU'RE GONNA LOVE SEBASTION!

If Sebastion's' eyes look tired, it's not because of his very hard life before arriving at the shelter, but because he had eye surgery recently. A very unexpected addition, he literally showed up on our doorstep one evening, after either being either thrown over the fence or making his way to us somehow. He was talking up a storm, doing his best to tell us what had happened and that he desperately needed our help. Upon getting him inside in better light it was obvious that was true. His poor eyes were so inflamed they looked like burning coals. After treating him for conjunctivitis for a couple weeks, it was apparent that something more serious was going on. After a vet check, he was diagnosed with entropion, a very painful condition caused by his lower eye lid and lashes rolling into his eye. No doubt everyone has had an eyelash in their eye, just imagine having all of them causing constant irritation. Poor boy! Our vet and hero, Dr Laura, came to the rescue and performed the needed surgery. All his post-surgery medication is finished, the stitches will soon dissolve, and as soon as the fur that had to be shaved around his eyes grows back, he'll be the handsomest fellow in the whole wide world. He doesn't want to wait for all that before going to his forever home though, and neither will you!
We're not sure how old Sebastion is, maybe around 4 years. A plus sized, lovable Maine Coon cross, he's big in both size and personality. He gets along well with other cats and we're sure will do just fine with cat friendly canines too, once he gets to know them. Because of his hard times before coming to us, he can be a tad shy with new people at first. Once he knows he can trust you he's a big, lovable teddy bear, always ready to crawl into the nearest lap for a nice long cuddle. What a perfect companion and lap warmer for the cold months ahead!
