Meet Hollister - this handsome fella was adopted from us as a kitten and recently returned because his mom lost her home. Hollister has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), or wobbly kitten syndrome. CH is condition where a kitten’s brain does not fully develop due to a viral infection in the mother cat. As a result, they experience wobbliness and uncoordinated movement. There is no cure, but it doesn't not affect their overall health and they can still live long, happy lives without issue. Hollister is moderately CH; he does fall occasionally and is pretty wobbly, but gets around just fine and uses the litter box without problem.
Hollister is a very sweet boy but is on the sensitive side and can become easily overwhelmed by too much activity around him, likely because of his balance issues. He would do best in a quieter home without children. He lives with other cats and does fine with them for the most part, but he can be easily intimidated so a calm, gentle and mellow kitty friend would be best. Not sure about dogs. Hollister loves to be petted and is quite affectionate. He enjoys playing with toys but canned food is his favorite thing in the world. He is neutered, chipped, current on vaccinations, negative for FeLV/FIV and recently had a dental with 6 teeth pulled. DOB 4/1/15 - tag 9902.
