My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Witch Willow, a charming and resilient four-month-old female dog who has spent the entirety of her young life in the shelter. Despite her 60 days straight in this temporary home, Witch Willow has proven to be an incredibly well-adjusted and social pup. Her interactions with other dogs showcase her friendly nature, and she exhibits an exceptional ability to connect with humans of all sizes. Affectionate and sweet, Witch Willow has a heart full of love to share with her future family. Her intelligence shines through in her quick learning and adaptability. It's time for Witch Willow to leave the shelter behind and find a forever home where she can truly blossom, leaving behind the caretakers who have played an important role in her life so far.

Witch Willow's story is a testament to her resilience and the positive impact of the shelter environment on her social development. Now, she eagerly awaits the opportunity to form a lasting bond with a loving family that will appreciate her warm personality, smarts, and unwavering affection. By opening your heart and home to Witch Willow, you'll not only be gaining a loyal companion but also giving this deserving pup the chance to experience the joy of belonging to a family of her own.

More about this shelter

Acadiana Animal Aid (AAA) is the region’s leader in animal transport, adoption, and education. We provide a safe place to land for animals at risk of euthanasia before they take off to their adoptive homes. For 48 years, AAA has played a vital role in saving animals from impoverished, resource-deprived communities. We transfer in pets at risk of euthanasia from municipal shelters throughout the state, provide veterinary and daily care, and create pathways to their futures. AAA is known locally and nationally for its lifesaving strategies to reduce the euthanasia rate of shelter pets in Louisiana. Our commitment to saving our region’s pets runs deep – in 2022, we saved nearly 2,000 cats and dogs through local adoptions.
