Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Welcome, humans, to my illustrious profile. I’m Mally. Mally the Magnificent. Let me give you the insider info on what a delight I am.
I’m a 7-year-old-ish shepherd/hound originally from Texas. My favorite pastimes include the following: requiring you to pet my soft ears and belly; making ultra derpy faces; touching you at all times; yoga; and, even better, interrupting yoga. Speaking of my yogi skills, I’m so naturally talented at it that some people call me Mally the Malleable. This is because I can contort myself into all sorts of unexpected, physics-defying positions. It’s one of my many, many fortes.
I enjoy puzzles, bully sticks, and doggy ice cream. (Yes, it exists, it’s the best, and no, you can’t have mine.) May it be also known that I will insist on kissing your face as many times as possible in succession. Because, really, who doesn’t want endless smooches from this beauty? Nobody, that’s who. I’m a gift to humanity.
My greatest fear? Riding in the car. No way you can convince me to stick this ridiculously gorgeous face out of a moving car window. Reckless, I tell you. Just give me a warm deck in the sunshine or quiet forest trails, and I’m your gal.
However, driving around is probably the only thing I’m afraid of, to be honest. I will defend my loved ones from the FedEx truck, squirrels, and any rogue animals who attempt to show their faces on my TV.
I don’t like cats or small dogs, either, now that you mention critters. In fact, I truly detest them. Do not let me near one, seriously. I also pretty much loathe any other dog who I can see walking on leash, though I’m not entirely sure why. What can I say? It’s just part of this dreamy-eyed, 40-pound package of perfection you see before you.
PEOPLE, on the other hand. People are THE BEST. Have you met them?! They give me treats and tell me how pretty I am. The best ones let me sleep in their bed or nestle on the couch next to them. Even though I do pride myself as a protector, if you’re a person and you’re coming into the house, I will win you over no problem. Just look at this face.
If you want to see my awesomeness firsthand, please fill out an application and email marney.b@poainc.org.
