Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hey everyone, it`s me, Santa, but you can call me Big Pup, just like my foster dad does! Despite my wobbles and occasional tumbles, my spirit is always soaring high. I may take a little dance when I walk, but every step is filled with joy and a whole lot of love to give.
I`m pretty good with other furry friends once we get the proper hellos in. My dream forever home? It`s simple: a cozy spot on a dog bed or couch, a yard where I can explore every scent, and an endless supply of unconditional love. I`ve mastered the art of leisurely walks, enjoying everything from half-mile strolls to full mile explorations. Just know, steep hikes may not be my forte, but my heart is limitless.
I come with a wagging happy-warning: watch out for my tail, it`s a direct line to how overjoyed I am! And, let`s make sure our space is suited for a pupper like me who might bump into things due to my unique dance moves.

More about this shelter
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
