Cricket is approximately 4 years old and weighs in at 12 pounds. She is a Rat Terrier Mix. She was one of 14 dogs removed from a hoarding situation. The females were kept outside, resulting in 4 of them testing positive for heartworms. She was one of them. She has not had any issues and is currently under treatment. If Cricket is adopted, Animal Advocates will continue covering the cost of the Heartworm treatment until she is clear. The adopter would be responsible for transporting Carmela to any vet appts and administering her medication twice a day. Cricket comes with this requirement, but once she is clear, she is going to be an amazing addition to a family. She has an old soul and loves to hang out with her human. She is extremely sweet and loves to cuddle up in your lap. She gets along with other dogs, but will growl if they approach while she is eating. She has had to fight with 8 other dogs to get her food, so this should be expected. She deserves a home where she can be pampered and loved and she will make an amazing companion. She is working on housebreaking and is doing well, but will need to be let out regularly and encouraged to go in the yard. Cricket has been though a very rough time and deserves to be pampered.
