Meet Maia Gigi! Some call her just Maia, and others, just Gigi. Either way, she knows them all, and is hoping you’ll take her home! Maia is a young dog with a very active personality. Her favorite activities include running, running, and more running. She enjoys fetch, though she’s not the best at returning the ball. She enjoys chasing squirrels, frogs, and other outdoor critters. She also chases, and sometimes eats, bugs. Her prey drive can be intense, so small dogs, cats, and pocket pets are not recommended. She loves playing with toys, and her favorite thing to do is remove all of the stuffing. Sometimes she does try to eat it, but everyone has their flaws. She enjoys daily enrichment activities, such as puzzles and Kong toys. She is incredibly smart, and will need someone who is dedicated to keeping up her training. She can be mouthy, so she may not do well with young children. Maia would do best in a very active environment, where she can get the daily mental and physical stimuli that she requires. Although she enjoys time staying busy and being outside, at the end of the day you can often find her hogging the entire couch. Her foster mom says “she gets very attached to her person, and is a very loyal, good dog.”
Maia Gigi is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Maia Gigi, please complete an adoption survey using the link below:

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.
