Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Landon came into the shelter as a stray, and this sweet little guy quickly became a favorite of the shelter staff (including lap sitting privileges!).
Usually the shelter is the last place any dog wants to be, but for Landon it was a blessing in disguise because, as you can see from his "before" photo, whoever had him had not been taking care of him. His hair was dirty, tangled, and full of stickers; you could barely see his eyes under all that mess. He was very scared, and very thin. But in spite of everything, he was -- and is -- an absolute sweetheart.
Landon's beautiful non-shedding hair will grow back soon and he will be gorgeous (he's pretty cute already!). He weighs about 8 lbs, and the vet thinks he's about 3 years old.
Landon is tiny and would be the perfect lap dog and purse puppy. He's a total cuddle bug. We're guessing he is a bichon/poodle mix, but I also think there's some shihtzu in the gene pool with those big eyes and curly-Q tail.
Landon seems to like everyone. He wanted to greet everyone at the vet, and even flirted with the little black poodle. :) He gets along with other dogs, and he's fine with the cats too -- he's curious about them and sniffs them but that's about it. What Landon loves most is to be with his people, and his favorite game is fetch. He walks great on a leash and rides well in the car.
Landon does fine around older children as long as they are gentle; he's cautious around small children, but likes them if they are quiet, gentle and let him make the first approach.
Landon is a pretty easy-going little guy -- not at all hyper or yappy -- and he will be content to do whatever you want to do. He just wants to be with you.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vet checked, current on vaccinations, microchipped, groomed, de-wormed, de-flea'd, and come with a collar, leash, ID tag, and puppy kisses from the lucky dog you take home!
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Landon, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form.
