Gideon is a mellow, affectionate, white and black young cat born October 2022. With trusted folks he watches for them at the window, ankle rubs, follows them around, rubs against faces, and gives kitty kisses. Gideon will let you place in in your lap and shows his enjoyment of brushing and petting by kneading you or the air while quietly purring.

He tolerates being picked up, is quiet until meal time, plays with water in a dish, and plays with toys by himself or interactively with you. He is okay with calm kids, hasn’t met dogs and is initially shy of strangers. Gideon would enjoy another a cat for a pal. He uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits.

If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx.
