Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sterling is a sweet brown/black tabby born November 2021. For trusted folks, he lets you place him in your lap, staying for short sessions of petting and brushing. He prefers to sit next to you. He is active, enjoying playing with toys, and watching wildlife at the window. He purrs on contact with his trusted person. Sterling is quiet until mealtime when he tells you to hurry up.

He is affectionate on his terms, friendly with known people, shy-avoidant around strangers, and he hasn’t met children, but should be fine if they are respectful. His foster home has an active dog which Sterling is okay with. He accepts most cats after proper introductions. He would enjoy another pet as a pal. Sterling uses a scratching post and is litter trained.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx.

If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
