My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Callie is a very people friendly 3 year old lab pit mix. She is a deaf dog so in new situations she can be a little reactive but is not a mean dog. She loves to go for walks and sniff around in new places. In a home as the only pet will be best suited for her as active, jumpy or barky dogs tend to make her super reactive. A fenced yard or someone committed to taking her for walks for potty time will be best. Callie had been in training at White Mountain College for Pets for a few months learning how to communicate as a deaf dog and learn new skills as well as obedience. She does have a electronic collar that is necessary to communicate with her. Callie is a great dog but does have some limitations that make her only adoptable to very experienced dog owners. Her adoption comes with extended training for the new owner and her so you have the best skills moving forward. Please call 802-892-5300 for more information or fill out the online application at www.riversideanimalrescue.org

More about this rescue

Riverside Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to placing homeless or unwanted pets into loving, forever homes. We were formed in 2003 because of the overwhelming number of homeless pets in our area. Since then we have adopted out hundreds of dogs/puppies and ats/kittens, along with several other small critters. We are a no kill shelter so everyone gets a chance for a forever home. Our shelter is financed solely by donations, we are not government funded, and we are staffed by volunteers.
