My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is what we call a velcro dog--she likes to stay close. If you're at your desk, she's at your feet. If you are in the dining room, she's curled up under the table. If you are on the couch, she'll pretend she's a lap dog.  And when she looks at you with those big eyes full of love, you can't help but return her devotion. <br><br>

A coonhound/lab mix around 4 years old and 50 pounds, Nina is well behaved on the leash and good about going into her crate. She is great in the car and is happy to go with you on errands. Her energy level is typical of a hound--nice and low.<br><br>

Nina's ideal adoption would involve folks who are home a lot and either go on daily walks or have a fenced yard. Nina likes men, women, older kids, and teenagers. She also gets along with other dogs and with cats. She is shy initially, but quickly warms up. <br><br>

Nina has been spayed, heartworm tested and brought up to date on her vaccinations. She also is microchipped. Her adoption fee of $150 (reduced from $250 due to the generosity of a sponsor!) helps cover Petropolis medical expenses.
