Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Eri, a 3-year-old Doberman Pinscher who is looking for his forever home!
Eri is an Albino Dobie who is neutered. He has cropped ears and a docked tail. He is microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. He is currently being cared for by the Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA.
He is full of energy! He loves to run, play, and explore and is a big fan of chew toys (especially if they dispense treats). Eri would be an excellent companion for someone with an active lifestyle and would be right at home accompanying his humans jogging, camping, or hiking. He is very well behaved at the vet, has good leash manners, and loves his crate.
Eri can be shy around strangers, so supervised, pre-planned introductions are a must. He does well around other dogs his size, but not around small dogs and cats. He is friendly with children 6 and up, but not around younger toddlers or infant due this size and energy and the chance of knocking them over.
Eri was previously placed in a home, but he found city life to be too much for him. All the bustling sights and sounds gave him a bad case of anxiety. He would thrive in a nice country home where his days will be calmer.
Ideal adoption candidates will have experience with Dobermans or other large working breeds. Eri will need consistent training to see that his socialization and mental enrichment needs are met.
Ideal home environments will have a fenced backyard, have no other small animals or children under the age of 6.
PLEASE NOTE: Albino Dobermans are considered to have special needs due to their light sensitivity and high risk of various health issues including but not limited to; sunburn, skin cancer, bumps, sores, and eye deformities. Adoption candidates must be committed to providing consistent veterinary and at home care to make sure Eri stays happy and healthy. More information is available upon request.
