My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Blanche! A very loving puppy. Doggy door trained. Good with small dogs. I am okay with big dogs but can get a little defensive and growl low when they come into my space. This may be something I can work on, but I would prefer small dogs to play with or would be great by myself. I am an attention seeker and can get a little jealous of other dogs getting attention. I don't care about cats and do well with kids. I tend to put my front paws on people for attention, so being older would be better. I am working on learning boundaries since I love to snuggle with my human people.

I tend to be shy with new people, so please understand the 3-3-3 rule and be patient with me!

More about this rescue

Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation. When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".

Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.

Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.

In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
