Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are looking for an easy going dog that is fully trustworthy in the home, knows how to use a doggie door, never chews human belongings/kids toys and loves all dogs and kids.... Zeus is your guy!!! I don't know how he hasn't been adopted yet since everyone that meets him falls in love. He has a great temperament for any type of home.
Zeus is a majestic 75-pound, 3-year-old blend of Husky and German Shepherd.
He has the most mesmerizing eyes, fluffy coat, and spirited personality of a Husky, mixed with the colors and ears reminiscent of a German Shepherd. Sometimes when he wants his foster siblings to play or when we get home from work he does a little low howl, its the cutest thing ever. Not loud or annoying, just sweet because its almost like he is trying to talk.
Zeus loves belly rubs and regular exercise if possible, but he isn't the type of dog that needs the walks to avoid naughty behavior. He is very flexible, but does like to stretch his legs and run if allowed. He is good on the leash, but is better when he has a harness on. He loves to see other dogs and never barks or pulls unlike my personal dogs that get worked up and want to play so badly they bark.
Zeus would do exceptionally well with children of all ages and another dog if possible since he is so friendly with his canine friends and loves to snuggle kids. Not a requirement, but just something to consider if there are kids in the house, grandkids, etc. Zeus is a pretty big shedder which is normal for his breed so regular brushing really helps. We have a routine of brushing on walks at the park. The work is worth it, he is super soft and a LOOKER.
Zeus gets along with all dogs he meets, big and small. He also jumps into the car easily and enjoys drives. He is very quiet and well behaved in the back of the SUV or backseat of a car. He sits when asked, loves toys and doesn't get on the bed unless he is invited. He is very well trained and such a special boy!
