Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome kitten likes to play with water in his bowl, with cat toys by himself or with you, and watch wildlife at the window. Harry is a kitten-active, initially nervous kitten that was born in June 2023 as part of an unplanned litter. He watches for you at the window, meets you at the door, and follows you around. Harry jumps into your lap when you sit and stays as long as you keep brushing or petting, but he prefers to sit next to you.
He purrs on contact with his trusted person, face rubs, ankle rubs, rolls over for tummy stroking, and likes to sleep on his back. At this stage of his adjustment, he doesn’t like being held, is afraid of men, and shy of new folks. Harry tolerates respectful dogs, is fine with most cats, and hasn’t met kids, but if they are quiet and gentle, he should be okay. Harry has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. With the changes in his life, he will take a couple weeks to feel secure and blossom.
If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx.
