Fritz was dropped off at the emergency vet by someone who saw him limping. It was determined that he had a fractured left front leg, likely as the result of being hit by a car. No one came to claim him, so the vet splinted the leg and transferred him to the Stockton Shelter. They contacted us to rescue him.
The fractured leg needed surgery, which we provided. After the leg was fully healed, the surgeon decided to remove the plates and pins with a second surgery.
Fritz is a VERY FRIENDLY, VERY ENERGETIC young dog. He needs LOTS of exercise and playtime. He loves playing with other dogs, but can be fairly aggressive in his play style. We think it would be better for him to have a canine playmate living in the home, but it would have to be a dog that likes rough and energetic play.
Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
