If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Hutch is a 45 lb border collie mix. He is a quick learner who is extremely food motivated and knows sit, lie down, settle, come, and heel. His ideal owners would be willing to take him on walks/runs and have a fenced in yard. He is potty trained and roams freely in the house without accidents. He is occasionally reactive to other dogs (especially larger dogs) and we have found that a gentle leader leash will help direct his attention back to you. Needs a proper introduction to dogs, especially those similar or larger in size. Neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and flea treatment. He currently lives with two cats and one smaller dog, and steers clear of the cats. Loves head scratches and belly rubs.
When we adopted him he had severe separation anxiety and had frequent accidents in the house. We were told he was previously a “farm dog” and lived with two other dogs and children.
