My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remember the Golden girls? We saved 3 golden girl pups that were lost or dumped. Dorothy was the outspoken one in the famous show and flamboyant in her own way. This Dorothy wants to be given a chance to develop her personality at your house. She is sweet as are her sisters and given a chance will be FAMOUS as YOUR best dog ever! Her sister Rose was adopted and has adjusted well!. Her sister Blanche is also available to be adopted separately or together. This is a medium sized full grown girl at 41 lbs.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
