My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milan, a remarkable 1 year old girl with an abundance of intelligence and playfulness. Originally adopted from Maricopa County, Milan and her siblings were discovered as strays along with their mother. Fate led her to Valley Dogs Rescue through a friend's recommendation.

This adorable Basenji-terrier mix is an absolute joy to be around. Milan is not just smart but also incredibly fun-loving. She has quickly adapted to her foster home and is proving to be a loyal companion, always staying close to her human. Motivated by treats, Milan has made puppy training a breeze, mastering the use of the doggy door and settling into her kennel for a good night's sleep or by her human's side.

While Milan forms strong attachments to her humans, a little patience is needed as she adjusts to her new home. Rest assured, the investment in time and love will be richly rewarded!

Milan will do best in a home with a larger dog to play with or she is fine being the one and only as well! She interacts wonderfully with kids who love her puppy energy. As for cats, her compatibility remains unknown. This sweet pup is already spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, weighing in at 22 lbs presently, with an estimated full-grown weight of around 25-30 lbs.

With her irresistibly adorable appearance and an abundance of love to give, Milan is eagerly awaiting a forever home. If you're ready to welcome this charming pup into your life, please reach out to her foster mom, Paula, at SPWHEELS1@GMAIL.COM, to schedule a meet and greet. Don't miss the opportunity to make Milan a cherished part of your family!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At Valley Dogs we make every effort to place the right animal in the right home. To aid in this goal, we use trained Adoption Consultants to help you select the best match for your lifestyle. You will meet with an Adoption Consultant and discuss your lifestyle, activity level, expectations, likes/dislikes, and past experiences with animals. Your consultant will then recommend the best match for your family and your lifestyle.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not own a kennel / shelter type facility. In most cases, we believe one of the effective and successful ways to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Fostering dogs allows us to help train the dogs to have good doggie manners and allows us to learn about the dog's personality and character. Ultimately allowing us to give potential adopters complete information on the pet's behavior and how well he / she will fit with a family and lifestyle. Unfortunately, when we are not able to find the most appropriate foster home, we will on occasion utilize a private kennel on a case by case basis.
