Hi, I'm Kalamata. I am a petite and small little lady, weighing 20 pounds. It took me a couple of weeks, but I am finally comfortable with my foster mom's. They have sooo much patience with me. I like to chew A LOT; I try not to chew things I'm not supposed to but sometimes I just can't help it. I'm still a little scared to go outside and I definitely won't pee and poop out there. I like mom cleaning it up inside. My foster mom's try to potty train me, but I can be quite stubborn. I love playing with toys and with my foster mom's, running up and down the hallway is also a blast. Cuddling and pets are the BEST THING EVER!! I still bark at noises and people because it takes me awhile to trust them. And you'd better let me sleep in your room or I'll bark and scratch at your door. My crate still scares me, though mom tries to help me be comfortable in it by positive reinforcement I'm still not a big fan. Some of my favorite foods are beef, chicken, and peanut butter. I won't beg vocally, but if you look at my face you won't be able to resist giving me food. I need a furever family who is loving, patient and willing to train me. The only command I know is no, and boy do my foster mom's say that a lot. I'm a stinker, but deep down inside I love so hard.
I am in a foster home. If you would like to meet me please fill out an application on our website and someone will be in touch with you!

More about this rescue
Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are currently a small group of committed volunteers making a difference in the life of one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, all donations made to Soul Dog go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.
Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
