Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dolly is a fun, loving, and smart pup who is ready for her furever home! She is about a year old, spayed, and is fully vaccinated.
Dolly is a joy to have around. She is playful and filled with cute puppy antics. She has medium-low energy for a border collie mix, and has a great “off switch”. She hangs out in her crate, x-pen, or at her foster moms feet during the day, or will occupy herself with toys if bored. She gets adorable zoomies before bed, and will throw her toys in the air! After being let out of the crate, she will prance around the house ‘talk back’ to you by yodeling. She loves to cuddle on the bed and will roll onto her back and stretch out as long as possible for belly rubs. She is a silly girl who makes the people in her life smile daily.
Dolly has been in puppy bootcamp with her foster family, and is doing very well! She is potty and crate trained and knows basic obedience commands like Recall, Sit, Stay, Wait, and Leave-it, and is working towards the Canine Good Citizenship Test. She has been going to a group obedience class and has already graduated to the second level! She has some stranger danger and will bark at new dogs, so this has been great for her learning manners and building confidence. She has also been attending a doggy sports class with her foster sibling and is learning agility foundations! She would be great for someone who enjoys training and would like to do doggy sports!
Dolly is great with her foster siblings! She needs slow introductions, but once she understands that the dogs are friendly she settles in with them quickly. She is great at taking corrections from the older dogs and is starting to figure out how to play with them! At this time we do not think she would be good with cats or young kids due to her prey drive. She had some big emotions and anxiety when she first arrived and is now on a mild anxiety medication that has greatly helped until she can get into her furever home and settle on her own. She would do best in a calmer home that has a clear routine.
Overall, Dolly is a gem of a pup who is ready to bring a lot of joy to someone’s life. She comes well trained, and would be great for someone who would like to do advanced training with a medium drive dog, or someone who wants a home buddy. She doesn’t need a doggy friend, but fits well with other dogs with slow introductions. Ready to make her your best friend?
