When Pumpkin arrived many of you were very interested in her, so we are happy to announce she is doing great, and is now ready for adoption. What a perfect name for a dog this time of year.

Pumpkin is a young (2-3 years) probably JRT/Chi mix. While Pumpkin has an incredible energy level and loves nothing more than racing around in the backyard chasing squirrels and birds, she calms after that energy dispersal and curls up in her foster mom's lap or her bed and sleeps soundly. At night, she wants under the covers, curled warmly with her foster family throughout the night.

She's completely housetrained and will let you know when she wants out! She is very people and children friendly, but cautious at first. She rides very well in the car and seems to enjoy it!

Pumpkin did live with a cat in the past we understand and they seemed to get along great, but Pumpkin does not like other dogs. She was very dominant over the other dogs in her first foster home and did get into a tussle with one of the small dogs. She is now in a home with no other dogs and seems to really be enjoying it. She will bark at other dogs she sees when out at the vet's office or walking on a leash so she really needs to be the only dog.

She is up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, micro-chipped and spayed. She does have some energy so although she makes a great lap dog once she poops out, she does need a home where she will get a lot of exercise.
