Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear and Squirt are very handsome morkies (maltese/yorkie) mixes, littermates that are just 8 years old. They came to our rescue after their owner passed away. This duo are just the friendliest guys around - their number one goal in life is to get pet by you! They loved to be carried around and loved on and the center of attention. The more pets the better, and they will put a gentle paw on your arm or hand to ask for more pets. Do you work from home? They would love to join you!
These sweethearts are marked as special needs because Bear has diabetes that requires a special diet and insulin every 12 hours. We would love to find someone who is familiar with diabetes in dogs or who feels confident and comfortable handling his health needs. He is very good about getting his injections as he knows he will be rewarded with a "pokey treat." Both boys are fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy.
They have lived successfully with another small dogs and in general are ok with encountering other dogs on walks. They haven't been around cats. They love to go on walks and even have their own coats for colder days. They are crate trained. Their owner had trained them to go on pee pads, not outdoors, but their foster mom has worked with them for several weeks and now they are doing great on going potty outdoors - no accidents in the last week! They do fine overnight as well.
