Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Warren!
Are you looking for the bestest boy to be your companion? Your search is over!!!! I’m right here and my name is Warren. I’m a 56 pound, adult mixed breed that came from the streets of Tennessee where I was found on ….you guessed it… Warren St., though there is no deep meaning to my name and quite frankly, I don’t know it that well yet so please feel free to rename me, if you wish. I'm friends with other dogs, but I just ask for slow introductions. The dogtor thinks I may be a bit blind in one eye, and though it doesn't slow me down, I can get startled sometimes with new fur friends and be a bit vocal. Once I'm comfortable and know they don't mean me any harm, I play wonderfully with them. I'm not sure about cats though. I've heard about them, but have never met one. I'm potty trained, and even let you know when I need to go out! I also do wonderfully in a crate - quiet and no accidents.
Since being rescued, I have gone through heartworm treatment and am now totally heart healthy! I wasn’t used to dog beds or even being inside while on the streets, but since being in a home I have multiple dog beds to choose from, but sometimes I still pick the ground. I do have a voice and at times sing the song of my people when I see wildlife. Foster mom thinks there may be some hound in me since I love the outdoors and the smells and the hunting and the hiking, and well… I can keep myself occupied for hours enjoying the fresh air! I can go on sniffari hikes and still have some energy in me to play and zoomies the backyard. Don’t get me wrong, though. I can crash alongside of you and be just as content and happy. People are my jam!!! I love them so so much! I would prefer a fenced-in in backyard to hang and do zoomies safely, but if you leash me up and we go explore, I’m pretty good on a leash, even if I do pull a bit because I’m just so excited to sniff the world and chase the squirrels. So make sure if you put me on a tie-out you watch over me. So I don't get myself into trouble and get away.
I'd like to think I'm the perfect combination of exploring buddy and Netflix and chill pal. A new friend to keep you active, but chill enough that you can be lazy on snowy winter days when it's really cold. I hope you are my new forever human and you can see everything good that I can bring to your life!
