Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Max! I am 3 years old and I way approximatly 50 lbs. I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. My owners have a new baby and would like to rehome me. The rescue did not have any space available so I'm still with them havin been moved out of the house and into the garage in a crate, and being walked three times a day. I don't really understand why because I am such a sweet, loving, gentle boy! I rarely bark and I'm good with other dogs of all ages and sizes. I frequently get to play off leash at the dog park. I'm also good with cats and kids. I greet everyone with a wagging tail and I never meet a stranger. My owner says that because I am so friendly and gentle, I would make a good therapy dog. One of my favorite things to do is go for a car ride. I also used to enjoy going hiking with my owner. I miss the activities that we used to share together. I would love to have space to run around in and someone to share fun times with again, I am ready and waiting to go to my new forever home! I have lots of love and loyalty together! I am an excellent companion pet! My one flaw is that I can go over a chain link fence and a 6-ft privacy fence. I use the horizontal piece of wood near the top of the privacy fence to pull myself over with. I don't go anywhere once out of the fence though - I just like being on the other side of the fence.
I am neutered, up to date on my dhpp and rabies vaccines, and I am heartworm negative. My veterinarian records will accompany me to my new home. Once an application is approved, the phone number to my owner will be provided.
Email is the best method of contact. Adoption applications can be found on the rescue website carolinacaninerescuenc.com
