UPDATE: 4/24/10 - The pups are almost weaned, Kaos is being very patient. SHE HAS COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED form the scared, fearful and snappy dog we pulled from under the house - traumatized and terrified - to a loving friendly dog whose tail is always wagging. Her eyes are so grateful it's reward in itself just to look into them. She'll let us in the kennel now with the pups, she'll walk on a leash. She's completely non-aggressive round other dogs, and as long as she gets to meet you on her terms - she's just fine with new people. However we tested her for heartworms and were sad to learn she has a heavy load of heartworms. We are going to try to treat her but Immiticide - the drug needed is in SHORT supply. We need sponsors and patience for this hard, expensive treatment but we are DETERMINED to give Kaos her second chance. We promised her that if she would give people another chance, that if she would learn to trust again, we would do right by her. It is the LEAST that we can do to make up for the abuse and pain she has suffered. IF YOU CAN SPONSOR KAOS WITH EVEN A SMALL CONTRIBUTION, or would like to consider adding her to your family and giving her a FOREVER HOME that she has never had please contact us. YOU COULD BE THE HERO SHE HAS NEVER HAD. She could be your best friend.

Kaos is a loving mother of 4 beautiful heeler pups born 03/13/2010. She was pulled out from under a house by our animal rescue officer. Scared, heavily pregnant and alone in the world - we made her comfortable and waited through her labor. Kaos has been very scared of people, but is slowly, day by day beginning to trust us. She has 4 beautiful little heeler mix pups, 3 males and 1 female. They will be available for adoption at 8 weeks of age. Right now we are letting Kaos do her thing, and she is an excellent mother. These pups are the 'E' litter - Eclipse, Easton, Elijah Blue and Elia. These babies were born in a shelter, lets make their stay here as short as possible. They deserve loving homes!! Kaos will be up for adoption when the puppies are weaned and she has had a thorough behavioral assesment. We are taking it slow with her, she's been through a lot and we have promised her as much time as she needs to adjust and learn to trust us.
