My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I AM BATMAN!!! No, really, that's my name...Batman. Although I am not the real caped crusader, I think you'll find me to be a sweet and special pup.

I'm a lab mix and weigh 48 pounds. I'm house trained, neutered and up to date with all of my shots and meds. I'm about a year old, so as a young dog I still have plenty to learn to be my best. I'll need a fur-ever family that will work with me and help me keep getting better at all of my manners. I’m pretty new at walking on a leash, but I learn quickly and want to please.

I'm very sweet and loving with both people and dogs, although I'm not a fan of cats - maybe they all remind me of Catwoman. I will do best with a family who has a fence and a yard - the bigger the better as I have plenty of energy and would love to run around and play with my family outside.

If you think you might want to be my sidekick, I'd love to set up a time to meet. Just send out the Bat signal or call on the Bat phone, and let's go chase some villains together!

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
