WOOF! I'm Patchouli! I'm a wildly happy girl that found her way to HSMC as a stray. I have lots of energy that I would love to find a family that wants to be active with me! I would love to go camping, hiking and just being outside with YOU. I would be great in a home with other dogs, but might be too much for cats. If you're looking for an adventurous, fun loving dog, then I'm the dog for you!

Additional adoption info

Pre adoption application required, including references, and proof of home ownership or rental permission forthe pet in question. All members of the household are required to visit the pet prior to adoption. In the case of dogs, other dogs in the household must meet potential new dog. Selections are not made on a first come basis, but an overall likelihood of a successful placement based on the application information and meetings. There are fees to adopt and these can be found on our website, www.catsndogs.org.ALL OUR PETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING ON OUR WEBSITE www.catsndogs.org.

We are open to the public from noon until 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and noon to 7 on Thursday. We are closed on holidays, Wednesdays and Sundays. We are located at 7001 Packer Drive in Wausau WI.

Located in beautiful north central Wisconsin, we have a beautiful new facility and dog walking trails. We are a full service, unlimited admissionhumane society shelter contracted with the county to house all stray animals. We believe in the humane and ethical treatment of all living creatures, and promote these beliefs in our actions and educational outreach programs. We work with rescue groups, volunteers, and the public to promote sterilization of companion pets and "forever" homes. All dogs, cats and rabbits are sterilized before adoption or have a scheduled appointment at a time determined by veterinary staff.
