Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MARSHALL is a stunning 4 year old Rottweiler we rescued from a Virginia shelter. He had been picked up multiple times after his owner allowed him and another dog to run loose. He was originally purchased from a breeder.
Marshall was a shelter staff favorite but was rescue only because he is heartworm positive. He became at risk for euthanasia after the shelter had a breakout of respiratory illness. The shelter reached out and we were fortunately able to rescue him when a foster stepped up. Marshall has been a very friendly boy who has liked everyone except the vet.
Marshall weighed 86 pounds at his last weight check but was significantly underweight. He has a big block head and lovely smile. He tested well with other dogs at the shelter prior to their outbreak and lived with a female dog at his former owner's home. He is fostered with a female and does well with her though he likes to steal her toys.
Marshall's leash manners are improving daily and he has been learning basic commands. He has mastered sit, doing well on "down" and is getting better and better at "stay". He is not 100% housebroken yet but is close. Marshall's foster said he LOVES running and playing and does not get enough exercise from walking alone so a fenced yard is a must for Marshall's forever home.
Marshall is fully vaccinated and microchipped. Our rescue is paying for his heartworm treatment. He is already 4 months into slow kill treatment and has now been neutered.
