My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Special Sweet, Loving Person sought for this sweet, traumatized girl - a medical foster. In her short life she has been through so much trauma already... We think she is only about 5 months old and she now weighs about 26lbs. When fully grown we expect she will be about 50lbs.

Sweet Lorna was hit by a car 3 weeks ago and since then her left "hand" has been hanging - a family was feeding her but not giving her the medical care she so desperately needed. Today she was surrendered to our Rescue - we immediately took her to the vet who said she has radial nerve paralysis and her leg will likely need to be amputated. First she needs to gain her strength and evaluate how the injury develops.

Incredibly, this dog is as sweet as they can get, just a dream! She is so very affectionate, calm and loving. Everyone in our Rescue and at the Vet office fell in love with her amazing temperament. She is great with other dogs as long as they don't chase her as she can't play with them.

We gave her a nice warm bath to remove all the dirt and try to remove memories of her past life. We would love to find a medical foster for her who perhaps has gentle dogs and who are calm, loving people, ready to give this sweet love lots of TLC.

She will be spayed, microchipped when she is adopted - she is already up to date on her vaccinations. The adoption fee when she is ready will be $325 (which will include her spay). For now, we would love to find that special foster for her. Our Rescue will take care of all her expenses - we just ask for someone to love and look after her
