Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to the queen of sploots!
Chloe was born to a semi-feral community cat in a backyard in Los Banos, along with her 3 siblings. Her mom was the last cat in the colony scheduled for T.N.R through Feral Freedom - and was thought to be a boy, until she gave birth that is!
Chloe has had a rough start in adopted life - she was diagnosed with F.I.P (feline infectious peritonitis) just 4 days after she was originally adopted. F.I.P is caused by a genetic mutation that can be triggered by stress - such as getting spayed! Unfortunately, her new owners couldn't commit to an 84-day-treatment course of injections and so Chloe came to the little bean's nursery. Chloe has completed treatment and is considered cured of F.I.P, but there were some affects of the illness that remain. During her illness her immune system was compromised and infection caused her to lose an eye. Chloe also had neuro-F.I.P, a version of the illness that affects the nervous system - as a result Chloe has very stiff back legs and walks with more of a "hobble."
But don't feel sorry for this girl, Chlo-Chlo gets around just fine! She may not be able to climb but she can smack-down on kittens and threateningly hobble after them - a task she deeply enjoys. Chloe loves toys and will puff up her tail in excitement as she wrestles with a ball or crinkle toy, and she will swipe at a laser-pointer. She also has a deep fondness for sleeping on shoes and slippers, for some reason. She is also completely in love with the foster cat, Cracker Jack and follows him around the house.
It is hard to explain this little charismatic disaster - but everyone who meets her ends up rooting for her, chanting "get it Chlo-Chlo!" as she chases after a much faster kitten. Chloe is truly a special little kid and she is ready to find that special someone <3
