Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Named for Ansel Adams due to his gray-scale color scheme, Ansel originally came into the Los Banos Animal Shelter as a "feral" cat and found his way to Feral Freedom's TNR program. While he was emotionally shutdown, it was clear he wasn't a feral cat - and so he entered our behavioral hold - a program to determine if a "feral" cat is actually a sweetie-pie in disguise...and guess what? He was! It took him a few weeks to break out of his shell, but once he did Ansel proved he wasn't a fearsome feral cat but actually a big softy with a penchant for playing with crinkle balls and playfully exploring his surroundings.
Ansel is a small boy, and about 90% fluff - he is so small we originally thought he was a girl! We'll never know exactly when Ansel was born, but we estimate he is just barely a year old - just old enough to be fully grown, but still a solid streak of kitten energy!
