My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lambert is a very sweet mini poodle with big soulful brown eyes looking for his forever home.

He was found in field all alone, emaciated, and been attacked by another animal, so he did not have the greatest start to life.
All his obvious wounds have healed, but due to his phycological trauma, I have a little PTSD, though he's been working on trust issues.
Once he bonds to his human, they are his person forever and he is very protective but it does take him some time to warm up to you. It’s best to just let him come to you when he's ready.
He does love to cuddle, once he trusts you.

Lambert is really sweet, smart, and follows commands well.

He is food motivated, crate trained, and dog friendly.

Lambert enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash (without pulling).

He does bark at loud noises and doorbells, but other than that, he's pretty chill, and will follow you around everywhere until he's comfortable with his surroundings.

Lambert gets along pretty well with other dogs after he gets to know them... at first he might be a little standoff (ish) or maybe give a little growl like he's the alpha. He's not mean at all, but because he was abandoned, he can be guarded, and protective of his food.

He's a great companion dog, and really needs someone home most of the time, so he will never feel lonely again.
