Sweet Samosa was saved from euthanasia from a high kill shelter for space. She was kept around long enough for her babies to be weaned and find adopters or rescue, but sadly no one came for her and her time was up :( We couldn't let her story end there and she joined the SPR family.

What's a foster to adopt? As soon as she tests negative (it can take up to a year) we will make it official, until then we will supply her food and vetting!

Interview
Once the application is reviewed, it is sent to the foster and they will reach out to you in 1-3 days.

Meet the Pet
The foster will set up a time and place for you to meet the pet. We will also need to meet your resident pets if you have them.
4.
Home Check
We will do a home visit to ensure the foster animal goes to the right home. We will call your landlord if you rent.
5.
Approve Application
We call all 3 references.
If you have a resident pet, we will call their vet to confirm they are up to date on vaccinations & altered.
Additional adoption info
All adoption fees are payable the day the contract is finalized.

Puppies 6 months and younger - $325.00
Young adults 7 months-6 years - $300.00
Adults-Seniors: 7 years+ - $200.00
Cats and kittens - $150.00

We are a 501c3 licensed non profit organization in St Louis, Missouri. We are foster based and have a passion for helping the animals who have been dumped and abandoned in St Louis city. We also work hard to help save those in high kill shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized. We believe in that all pets deserve a second chance and that there is a home for everyone.
