Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JASPER is an 8 year-old guy who has been looking for his forever home for quite a while. He was adopted from a local shelter but was returned with another dog who was in such rough shape he was euthanized.
JASPER really should have been named "Shadow" because he likes to follow his humans around everywhere. We think he spent the majority of his life with his previous owner outside away from all the action going on inside.
With all the bouncing around between shelters and other homes, JASPER didn't get a chance to work on some of his quirky behaviors. He doesn't really play with toys, rather he is "mouthy" and will play bite on your hand like a puppy. JASPER's foster mom has several dogs in her home, which is why she thinks JASPER has been leg lifting and marking territory in the home. She recommended the use of a "belly band" while he is in the process of learning not to mark in the house.
JASPER doesn't bark or chew on any of his foster mom's belongings in the house. JASPER does well walking on a leash and rides well in the car.

More about this rescue
A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.
ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
