Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy folks, my name is Spud and I may look intimidating but I am the sweetest most gentle male Rotti mix you have ever met. I am about 2 years old, weigh 65 lbs, and my foster mom rescued me from the side of a busy highway in San Antonio Texas. I was dodging traffic and terrified, but completely unharmed when I jumped into her car, and next thing you know I’m safe and sound, having fun playing with the resident dogs, getting vaccinated, and neutered, and now I’m ready to find a forever family!
I am a very good boy, easygoing, even-tempered, chill, casual, whatever you call it, that's my style. I don't have a mean bone in my body and I am friends with everyone I meet, humans and dogs, friends and strangers. I love to play chase with my doggy pals and I love tennis balls, soft chewy treats, and the occasional frosted doggy treats. I am very affectionate but seem unsure if it's okay to give it, respecting your boundaries, but giving love when I’m encouraged to. I would be thrilled to have a built-in doggy “sibling” in my new home because I get nervous when left alone. My crate is my safe place, covered with a blanket when my foster mom leaves, and I just chill out and take a nap until she returns. At night I either sleep at the foot of her bed or on the floor by her bed and I am hoping for the same arrangement in my new home. I rarely bark, I’m housebroken, don't chew or dig, or guard my food, and you would barely know I’m there if you didn't see me. There is a rescue dog transport van getting ready to leave Texas, heading to Connecticut and some surrounding states, and I am planning to be on board and on my way to meet whoever adopts me.
