My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Isla

Age: About 3 years

Gender: Female

Breed: Shepherd Mix

Spayed/Neutered? Yes

Vaccinated: Yes

Good with dogs? Yes, In fact would probably be more comfortable in house with at least one other dog

Good with cats? Unsure but she seems like she would be.

Good on a leash? Yes, doesn't pull at all. She is is leery aboout other walkers but is getting so much more brave.

House trained: Yes. going potty on a leash is not her favorite, but I'm sure she would get used to it

Resource Guarding: No. She is very gentle when she eats. She is not food motivated.

Bathing: She doesn't mind getting a shower. She has a naturally sweet smell so doesn't get a shower often.

Car: She is not happy in the car.

Ideal Home: A quiet home with a quiet person who she can follow around and a doggy friend.

Isla's Rescue Story: Saved from euthansia in Roswell, NM.

About Isla: Isla is so sweet and submissive. She is shy to begin with but then she follows you everywhere and just wants to be with you. She startles easily so a quiet home is what she needs. She doesn't make a peep herself. I have yet to hear her bark but sometimes she kind of grumbles. She seems fearful of men so a female home would be best for her but would tolerate a quiet man in the house too. She loves to be brushed, petted and scratched once she is OK with you. She does well with other dogs, in fact a home with a confident dog would be ideal for her. She presently does not do well in the car so she would be best as a home buddy. She presently sleeps in her dog bed and in our bed. She is house broken and has only had an accident when she was sick.

She is a beautiful sweet girl just looking for a quiet person who will love her.
