Beans is the ultimate lap cat lovebug and one of the friendliest cats you'll ever meet. He's named Beans because he loves napping next to you with his little toe beans pointed up to the sky! No matter where you're sitting or what you're doing, Beans has to be in the middle of all the action. He is a tiny but mighty shadow of his foster mom, keeping an eye on her and following her to help with all tasks throughout the day. He spends his days napping and purring in his foster mom's lap while she works. At night, he sleeps by his foster mom's head. He would love a human who can provide a lot of attention and love, and he pays it back many times over.
He's high-energy and loves to play with his brothers and all kinds of toys. He can spend hours chasing crinkly balls and bottle caps he's rescued from the recycling. He's very curious and has been known to play with and chew on plants, so his forever home must not have any toxic plants. He's been known to open cabinets, so a small bit of cat-proofing will ensure he can safely explore his new home.
Beans loves human visitors and is not shy to say hello. He's quick to warm up to literally anyone, including neighbors he meets in the hallway. Beans came to his foster home at around six weeks old from a downstate Illinois shelter. He was incredibly friendly from the start and was likely born around humans or taken in by humans quite early.
We plan to place Beans and Mocha in a forever home together as they have bonded in foster care and both would benefit from having a companion and playmate.

CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.
At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.
Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.
Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
